What happens when the world tells you to stay quiet, but you play anyway?
RISE! The Legacy of Black Guitar Heroes in Rock & Metal is a high-energy, kid-friendly program that introduces five legendary Black guitarists who shaped the sound of modern rock and metal music from Sister Rosetta Tharpe to Tom Morello.
Through powerful storytelling and a live instrumental guitar concert, families will discover how each artist faced silence, kept playing, and ultimately changed the game.
Presented by Brian Parham, founder of Rock Dojo, an award-winning guitar program inspiring the next generation of guitar heroes through music, story, and play.
