This Juneteenth, join us at Central Library for a screening of Foragers, a film by Palestinian artist Jumana Manna.
Juneteenth celebrates the end of enslavement for Black people in the United States. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the long struggle to realize human rights for all peoples around the world. Foragers depicts the dramas around foraging for wild edible plants in Palestine with wry humor and a meditative pace.
