Use the library Community Learning
A Creative Learning teen camp.
Join us to spark your curiosity and dive into the electrifying world of electronics! In this weeklong adventure, you'll uncover the secrets of electricity, build circuits from scratch, and even create your own batteries using basic chemistry. No prior programming experience needed – we'll guide you every step of the way. Get hands-on as you learn to solder and program Arduinos with circuits you design. Each day brings a new focus, and there's plenty of time for personal exploration! With instructor Tobin Shields.
Grades 6-12. Space is limited - register on the library website starting July 7. This is a five-day (Monday to Friday) camp. We ask registered campers to plan to attend all five sessions, since each day will include fun activities that build on the previous day's activities!
Rockwood Makerspace programming is made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting Multnomah County Library’s innovative and groundbreaking work.
