4 hour class needs chairs and tables max audience: 10 program tailorable for 3rd grade - seniors
Did you know that you can weave with English ivy, pine needles, or cedar? Learn basic basket weaving with the renown fiber artist, and Karuk basket weaver, Celeste Whitewolf. Celeste brings knowledge, warmth, patience, and fun to this half-day workshop. You'll learn to create a basket using locally sourced, pliant pine needles!
This class is suitable for tweens and older. Celeste is a member of the Columbia Basin Basket-weavers Guild, the Northwest Native American Basket-weavers Association, and is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Umatilla.
