Duration: 1 hour per event, 2 back to back with 15 min break between (1 hr setup / takedown) 10 person max Adult (staff person or parent) must be present.
Get a bird’s-eye view of how hawks, owls and eagles survive in the wild. Students learn about special adaptations such as “silent flight” and how birds of prey see and hunt. They will also discover what owls have for midnight snacks as they dissect owl pellets and take home their findings. Topics include adaptations, anatomy, biology and classification.
Intended for kids in grades 4-8.
There are two of the same session, please register only for one, and only take a registration slot for the youth participating! Grown ups are welcome but don't need to take up a slot.
