Have concerns about your personal safety at home or in the community? Have a youth headed to college this fall? A teen beginning high school? A tween staying home by themselves for the first time?
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, earn empowering skills to help keep yourself and your young ones safe and strong with this introductory personal safety and self-defense workshop! Snacks provided for all attendees.
The class will cover assertive communication and de-escalation skills. Learn how to tap into intuition and options for escape and safety planning. This is open to all community members ages 11 and older. Community members ages 11-14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Presented by The City of Portland Office of Violence Prevention Safe Blocks program and Rose City Self-Defense.
