Use the library Community Learning
Duration: two one-hour sessions with a 30-minute room reset between (30 min setup / breakdown)
What will you create? Bring your ideas and make them a reality! Join us at the Rockwood Library makerspace to make something cool, learn a new skill, and meet friendly people.
Makerspace staff and volunteers will be present to help you learn how to use our tech equipment to design things and express yourself! Project examples include 3D printers, craft cutters for vinyl stickers and heat transfers, sewing machines, custom t-shirts and tote bags, all sorts of art supplies, and more.
To attend this program, you need to have basic computer skills and know how to use a computer with a mouse. Children in fifth grade or under must be accompanied by an attentive adult or teen.
Space is limited; every participant (child, teen, or adult) must sign up in advance to reserve a spot. If you are coming with a friend or family member, make sure everyone is signed up! Registration opens three weeks in advance.
Please register for just one of the two sessions on this date, so that more people can have access to creative exploration in the makerspace!
Rockwood Makerspace programming is made possible by gifts to The Library Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting Multnomah County Library’s innovative and groundbreaking work.
