Theater style setup
Experience the power of poetry as participants from the "Rhymes and Roots: Celebrating North Portland Through Poetry" workshops take the stage to share their original works, created in celebration of the North Portland Library’s rich history and vibrant future. Featuring both adults and students from Jefferson High School, this showcase is a testament to the creativity and resilience of our community. During the showcase, the audience will have the opportunity to participate in fun, hands-on activities that explore the creative power of words.
Hosted by The Poet Lady Rose, this inspiring event will highlight themes of connection, identity, and hope, bringing together voices from across generations to share their unique perspectives. Join us to honor the talent and stories that make North Portland so special.
